Walkthrough
- Speaking with Brutus will grant you the key item Weapons Training Guide as well as the Pick of Trials. You will need to break the latent on the Pick of Trials before completing the rest of the quest.
- Breaking the Latent
- You must accumulate 300 points by using the Pick of Trials to do Weapon Skills and skillchains on monsters that are at least Easy Prey.
- A stand-alone Weapon Skill and opening a Skillchain are both worth one point.
- Closing a level 1 Skillchain is worth two points.
- Closing a level 2 Skillchain is worth three points.
- Closing a level 3 Skillchain is worth five points.
- You will know when the latent is broken if its bonus stats disappear when you un-equip and re-equip the Pick of Trials. You can also check to see if the elemental resistances have disappeared from your stats.
- Trade the Pick of Trials back to Brutus. This will give you the key item Map to the Annals of Truth. You will be instructed to travel to the Temple of Uggalepih.
- Take Silent Oil and Prism Powder with you and head to the Temple of Uggalepih. Once inside, follow the path to to the T-intersection and head north. Follow the path and exit the Temple.
- Once outside the Temple, turn north and immediately east into the Temple again. Follow the path south; at the T-intersection, turn west and then south. Take the path south at (G-8/9). The ??? to spawn the NM is at (G-9).
- This fight is against Yallery Brown, a sapling. It is weak to Fire and Dark attacks. Once you kill it, re-examine the ??? to receive the key item Annals of Truth.
- Go back and speak with Brutus to receive your reward.
