Vigil Weapons are weapons found from Notorious Monster and and specific enemy leaders while exploring Nyzul Isle. These weapons allow a player to access a Unlocking a Myth quest from Zalsuhm in Lower Jeuno at (H-9) provided that he/she has the appropriate job leveled to 75 to match the weapon.

Vigil Weapons can be stored with the NPC Ghanraam in Aht Urhgan Whitegate at (K-10) by trading him the weapon and an Imperial Bronze Piece. Any weapons points associated with that weapon will be lost if traded to Ghanraam.

Vigil Weapons can also be upgraded into the more powerful Mythic weapons through a series of quests. Currently verified requirements to upgrade a Vigil Weapon to a Mythic Weapon:

An Imperial Heist

• Runic key (Complete floor 100 Nyzul Isle)
• Complete all Aht Urhgan Missions and all Assault missions (required for Captain rank)
• Defeat the following Notorious Monsters:
  • All 3 Aht Urhgan Beastmen Champions:
    • Gulool Ja Ja
    • Gurfurlur the Menacing
    • Medusa
  • All 4 Salvage Chariots:
    • Armored Chariot (Arrapago Remnants)
    • Battleclad Chariot (Zhayolm Remnants)
    • Long-Armed Chariot (Silver Sea Remnants)
    • Long-Bowed Chariot (Bhaflau Remnants)
  • Odin

Duties, Tasks, and Deeds

• 150,000 Nyzul Tokens to purchase a Copy of Wyrmseeker Areuhat from Zasshal.
• Show proof of completion of all 50 assaults again by trading one of the following items to the Rune of Release at the end of each assault:
  • Ilrusi Travel Ledger
  • Periqia Adventure Diary
  • Lebros Exploration Chronicle
  • Mamool Ja Battle Journal
  • Leujaoam Observation Log
• 30,000 Alexandrite
• 100,000 Therion Ichor to purchase Balrahn's Eyepatch from Kilusha.

Forging a New Myth

• Gather the following Tier 4 ZNM drops:
  • Tinnin's Fang
  • Sarameya's Hide
  • Tyger's Tail
• Fight in a BC against a Hydra NM named Zahak and Balrahn.
  • It is rumored that if you fail in this BC that you will have to trade a new set of the three Tier 4 ZNM drops.

Coming Full Circle

• Trade the incomplete Mythic Weapon to the tombstone in Caedarva Mire to receive the completed Relic Weapon.
