Notes
- Counterstance can technically be up indefinitely if not dispelled or removed by the player.
- Increases Counter rate by 45%, to 55% as a level 45 Monk or 62% as a level 99 Monk with 5 Counter rate merits.
- While the effect is active, the player's Defense is calculated only by their VIT (VIT/2) and any bonuses from Minne. All other defense bonuses, with the exception of the Defense Bonus trait, are ignored, but defense penalties such as Berserk or monster-inflicted Defense Down are applied.
- Often employed as an effective Tanking strategy, but should be used carefully when solo.
