Pathos

Pathos is the name given to the limits placed upon players upon entering Salvage areas or under certain conditions in Nyzul Isle. There are 5 types of Pathos:

| Encumberment | Inability to equip armor and/or weapons |
| Obliviscence | Inability to use a support job |
| Impairment | Inability to use job abilities |
| Omerta | Inability to use magic |
| Debilitation | The severe hampering of attributes |
Pathos may also be applied in Nyzul Isle Investigation or Nyzul Isle Uncharted Area Survey from discovery by or the destruction of Archaic Gears or randomly when entering a floor. In Nyzul Isle, Pathos take on a more specific form and have the following options:
- Specific base stat reduction
- Weapon Skills restriction
- Restriction of a particular type of magic. (Summoning, Blue, Healing, etc.)
