Types of Pyxises

Chests in Abyssea come in three different varieties with different effects as listed below.

The quality of the chest varies by the amount of respective light for that chest. Certain Abyssites (listed in the above table) will occasionally cause a chest to be a stronger than it would be normally. Bastion in Scars zones and Dominion in Heroes zones can also cause chests. It is possible to tell the relative power of a chest from the amount of cruor that you get from destroying it. (Although it is much easier to rest to examine the proper light.)

Blue Sturdy Pyxis Values

Blue Sturdy Pyxises have a variety of uses. They can contain XP, Cruor, Soothing Light, Temporary Items, or Time Extensions.

It is possible to see the level of a XP, Cruor, or Soothing Light chest by the message.

Red Sturdy Pyxis Values

Red Sturdy Pyxises have two different message sets. The message set for Pearl, Azure, Ruby, and Amber lights is separate from Silver, Gold, and Ebon lights. Both sets are outlined below.
